The President of Beni Suef University chairs the meeting of the Council for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, chaired a meeting of the Community Service and Environmental Development Council, in the presence of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the deans of the university's faculties and institutes for community service affairs.

The meeting discussed a memorandum submitted by the Vice President regarding launching an incentive competition called "Innovation in Community Service." It also reviewed a report from the General Authority for Adult Education in Beni Suef on the university's participation in the literacy project from the July 2023 cycle to the January cycle, and the results of university students' participation in the national literacy project. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of continuing cooperation, integration, and sustained achievement as a national project. The council also discussed the activities and events of the colleges and institutes, including an event for students of the Faculty of Navigation and Space Technology in cooperation with the IEEE, aimed at connecting university students with the organization. They also discussed the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Advanced Sciences' hosting of the Summer School for Climate Ambassadors, presented by the Institute for Sustainability and Carbon Footprint, for this important environmental event commemorating World Environment Day, to be held from July 5-9. The council also announced the opening of applications for the 2026 UNESCO International Literacy Prizes and discussed the participation of university students in the START Summit, scheduled to be held next June at the Egyptian Museum. Finally, they reviewed the tree-planting projects within the Faculty of Agriculture in cooperation with the Rotary Club.

The council was also briefed on the activities implemented in the university's colleges and institutes, in addition to those planned for implementation.
