The President of Beni Suef University attends the graduation ceremony of the Learning Disabilities Department at the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, attended a special ceremony organized by the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences to celebrate the graduation of the seventh class of students from the Learning Disabilities Department. The ceremony, themed “Developing the Learning Lab through the Design of an Interactive Learning Environment Based on Simulation and Multisensory Learning,” was attended by a number of faculty leaders and staff members. The atmosphere was both academic and personal, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting students with special needs and empowering them to continue their educational journey.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Azazi, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies; Dr. Haitham Nagi, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs; Dr. Mahmoud Rabie, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Zeinab Madi, Head of Department; and Dr. Gomaa Saeed, Director of the Human Resources Development Center. They expressed their delight at the students' achievements and excellence, emphasizing that this graduating class represents a valuable addition to the college and university's efforts in supporting special education. This event reflects Beni Suef University's commitment to promoting inclusivity and academic excellence, and to solidifying its leading role in serving the community.

During his speech, Dr. Tariq Ali stressed that Beni Suef University pays great attention to students with special needs, and is keen to provide an integrated educational environment that guarantees them equal opportunities in education and university activities, explaining that the project to develop the learning lab represents a pioneering step towards promoting modern teaching methods based on interaction and technology, which contributes to developing students’ abilities and facilitating their academic and social integration.

He also praised the efforts of the College of Special Needs Sciences in developing advanced educational solutions that serve students with learning difficulties, stressing that the university will continue to support these quality initiatives that reflect its humanitarian and scientific mission.

For her part, Dr. Heba Abu El-Neil explained that the celebration comes as a culmination of the college’s efforts in preparing a generation capable of facing educational and societal challenges, noting that the project to develop the learning lab aims to create an interactive learning environment based on simulation and multi-sensory learning, in line with the latest global trends in the field of special education, stressing that the college always seeks to enhance cooperation with various sectors inside and outside the university.

On the sidelines of the celebration, the university president inaugurated the Learning Disabilities Laboratory, which was developed by the students. It is the first laboratory to offer a simulation experience for children with learning disabilities, in addition to training rooms and measurement and diagnostic rooms.
