The seminar is scheduled for next May and aims to shed light on the risks of cybercrime and ways to combat it, in addition to discussing issues related to violence against women and methods of protection and support. This comes as part of the University’s commitment to raising community awareness and strengthening its role in addressing contemporary issues. The session was attended by Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; as well as faculty deans and council members.

Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that organizing this seminar aligns with the University’s societal role and its continuous commitment to addressing all issues affecting the community, foremost among them cybercrime and violence against women, due to their negative impact on societal stability and security.

He added that the University seeks to raise awareness among students and the surrounding community about the risks of unsafe technology use and the importance of adhering to ethical values and digital responsibility, stressing the need for all concerned parties to work together to confront these phenomena.

The University President further stated that supporting and protecting women from all forms of violence is a top priority, stemming from the state’s belief in the role of women as essential partners in building society, emphasizing that the University will spare no effort in providing all necessary support and awareness to promote a safe and supportive environment for women.
