During the meeting of the Higher Education Projects Development Management Unit, the final technical specifications for the educational platform development team were approved. Detailed reports of the standing team responsible for resolving technical issues related to infrastructure and networks were also reviewed, with a strong focus on Management Information Systems (MIS) and the university’s electronic portal. In addition, the readiness of the electronic testing building to complete the installation of the remaining equipment was discussed, alongside efforts to further develop the educational platform to include new qualitative services such as psychological and social support, as well as family counseling. This aims to ensure comprehensive student care that extends beyond academics to encompass human and social aspects.
At the meeting of the University Performance Development Center, Dr. Tarek Ali reviewed mechanisms to enhance institutional efficiency and advance both administrative and academic systems. The board also discussed strategies for training human resources and updating training programs in line with the latest international standards, while emphasizing full support for initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of university outcomes and meeting labor market demands.
In another context, the council discussed correspondence received from the Supreme Council of Universities, which emphasized the necessity of coordinating with the Arab Organization for Industrialization when considering the establishment and operation of solar energy stations on campus. This aligns with the university’s plan to reduce energy consumption and adopt sustainable solutions, in addition to installing water-saving systems to benefit from extensive national expertise in this field. Furthermore, updates on new buildings across several university faculties were reviewed. Dr. Tarek Ali directed the commencement of urban coordination and landscaping works surrounding university buildings to ensure an appropriate aesthetic and well-developed appearance, consistent with the university’s comprehensive development plan.
