Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, the Faculty of Politics and Economics organized a field visit to the State Information Service for fourth-year students of the Political Science Department. The visit was supervised by Dr. Nagah El-Reis, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. El-Sheimaa Abdel-Salam, faculty member in the Political Science Department; and teaching assistants Mr. Mohamed Eid Kamel and Ms. Mariam Mohamed Farghaly from the same department.

Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni-Suef University, explained that the primary objective of the visit is to strengthen students’ understanding of the nature of the State Information Service’s work and responsibilities, as well as its pivotal role in supporting the Egyptian state both domestically and internationally. He emphasized that such activities contribute significantly to preparing well-qualified graduates capable of meeting the demands and challenges of the job market. He also stressed the university’s commitment to providing practical learning opportunities and highlighted the importance of engaging with young university students to develop their knowledge and professional skills. These visits, he noted, foster effective communication between academic institutions and national bodies.

Dr. Tarek Ali added that the visit reflects the Faculty of Politics and Economics’ philosophy of experience-based learning, noting that the goal is to move students from lecture halls to the heart of key state institutions. He stated that students now have a growing awareness of the communication and strategic functions carried out by the State Information Service, and that the university aims to translate this momentum into applied projects and accredited training pathways.

The University President further highlighted the Faculty’s distinguished educational vision, describing the field visit as a vibrant embodiment of its focus on experiential and practical learning. He explained that the purpose of such activities is not merely to diversify teaching methods but to take students directly from theoretical study into the core of active institutions and decision-making environments. This approach ensures a strong link between academic knowledge and real-world institutional challenges.

Dr. Tarek Ali also pointed to the positive and tangible outcomes of the visit, noting that students now possess a “growing and profound awareness” of the communication and strategic role played by the hosting institution—an essential understanding for grasping state operations and the impact of public relations and communication strategies on institutional performance.

For his part, Dr. Nagah El-Reis emphasized that the Faculty will not stop at this visit, but will work diligently to transform this momentum and enhanced awareness into concrete applied projects and accredited training paths aimed at integrating students more deeply into professional environments and enabling them to acquire the practical skills demanded by the job market. He expressed his appreciation to the executive leadership of the hosting institution for their significant efforts in ensuring the success of this outstanding training day. He extended special thanks to Major General Mohamed Hussein, Head of the Central Services Sector; Mr. Mohamed Abu Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Training, for his effective organization of the training program; Counselor Ahmed Salah, Head of the Central Administration for Editing and Publishing, for his valuable contributions; Dr. Mohamed Atta Allah, Head of the Central Administration for Financial and Administrative Affairs, for his administrative coordination; and Dr. Ali Mahgoub, Director of the Neighboring Countries Department, for the regional insights he provided.
