The Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants at Beni-Suef University Welcomes Preparatory and Secondary School Students

The Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants at Beni-Suef University, under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University, received a delegation of preparatory and secondary school students from Al-Tawfiq Private Schools as part of the institute’s community outreach efforts. The visit was organized under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Adel Gouda, Dean of the Institute; Dr. Sherif Hassan, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies; and Dr. Mohamed Zaki, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the importance of medicinal and aromatic plants, their various applications, and their vital role in serving the community, in line with Beni-Suef Governorate’s orientation toward maximizing the benefits of this essential sector.
Heads of departments and institute staff welcomed the delegation and accompanied the students on a tour of the institute’s specialized laboratories, in addition to a visit to the agricultural greenhouse to learn about the latest techniques used in the cultivation and propagation of medicinal and aromatic plants.
At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the institute’s administration for the warm reception and the high scientific standards they witnessed. They also valued the opportunity to explore the institute’s activities and societal role, as such visits enhance students’ awareness and help connect education with real scientific practice.
