Workshop on “Scientific Documentation in Research and Academic Theses” Held at Beni Suef University’s Faculty of Developmental Social Work

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Developmental Social Work organized a workshop on “Scientific Documentation in Research and Academic Theses.” The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Hendawy Abdellahi, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and was coordinated by Dr. Hanan Ashry Abdel Hafiz, Head of the Department of Group Work, and Dr. Emad Gomaa Abdel Latif, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Sherbiny, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and attended by Dr. Fadl Mohamed Ahmed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Raafat Abdel Rahman, Head of the Department of Individual Work, along with several faculty members, teaching assistants, and postgraduate researchers.
Dr. Tarek Ali explained that the workshop, organized by the Department of Group Work in cooperation with the Faculty’s Postgraduate Studies Office, focused on “Scientific Documentation in Research and Academic Theses.” It provided detailed explanations of citation methods for various references in accordance with the 7th edition of the APA style. Practical demonstrations were also given using Microsoft Office Word. Participants actively discussed their questions and inquiries, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the presented material.
The University President emphasized the importance of scientific documentation as a fundamental component of academic research, noting that it enhances the credibility of research papers and theses while reflecting researchers’ adherence to international academic standards. The workshop witnessed strong engagement from attendees, highlighting the significance of the topic in developing their research skills and improving the quality of their academic work.
