“Students for Egypt” Launch the “Plant a Tree in Your Name” Initiative to Promote the Values of Giving at Beni-Suef University

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, and as part of efforts to instill the values of giving and social responsibility, the “Students for Egypt” family at the Faculty of Developmental Social Work organized an initiative titled “Plant a Tree in Your Name.”

The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Hendawy Abd El-Lahey, Dean of the Faculty, with coordination and implementation by Dr. Fadl Mohamed Ahmed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Sherbiny, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. It was also attended by Dr. Mokhles Ramadan Belih, Student Activities Coordinator at the Faculty, along with a number of faculty members.

The University President emphasized that the initiative aims to raise environmental awareness and encourage students to contribute to beautifying the campus and expanding green spaces. He stressed that planting a tree symbolizes planting hope and life, and that every student can leave a lasting positive mark that grows over time. He further noted that such activities come within the framework of the faculty’s and the university’s efforts to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to climate and the environment, while fostering volunteerism and social responsibility among university students.
