President of Beni-Suef University Receives Rotary Club Delegation to Discuss Cooperation Opportunities

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, received today a delegation from the Rotary Club of Beni-Suef to explore ways of cooperation between the two sides. The delegation included Dr. Heba Abdel Azim, President of the Rotary Club, Dr. Ahmed Fouad, the Club’s former President, Mr. Mohamed Tharwat Helmy, Mr. Abbas Yassin, and Dr. Madonna Adel, all members of the club. The Rotary delegation congratulated Dr. Tarek Ali on assuming his role as Acting President of Beni-Suef University.
Dr. Tarek Ali praised the important role played by the Rotary Club of Beni-Suef in serving the local community through its collaboration with the University. The meeting discussed the “Major Project” to green the 320-feddan complex by planting around 5,000 shade trees. The plan includes desalinating water from the well within the complex to supply the irrigation network, which will operate using a modern drip irrigation system supported by the latest technologies. Students from the Faculty of Agriculture will also be involved for hands-on training and practical experience.
The two sides further agreed to organize the Club’s annual clothing exhibition for university students at nominal prices. At the end of the meeting, discussions also covered the Club’s community service activities in Beni-Suef, including medical convoys and literacy programs.
